Painting department
Is based on respecting and refining the inner student's need for
visual expression, as well as monitoring and assisting in mastering
classical art skills and techniques, through theory and practice, as
well as introducing into the spiritual world of painting national and
world heritage. Introduction to the undergraduate study of painting
begins on the first so called preparatory year. The beginning is based
on a linear construction, referring to the search for proportions and
directions in drawing and studying the anatomy of the human body.
During this year the student meets the basic elements of the visual
form (line, tone, light-shadow, surface, surface, shape, texture,
color, composition). Elementary drawing techniques (charcoal, pencil,
chalk, ink) are used in the first semester, as well as dry and
water-based painting techniques (pastel, watercolor, tempera, acrylic)
in the second semester. It is a live model (head, figure)
In the second undergraduate year the basic tasks of the introduction
in the process of painting are: studying the modular value of the
line,
- local tone and color decay and their role in modeling, shape analysis,
- Solving three-dimensional space (a combination of two-dimensional
and three-dimensional into one unit).
TECHNIQUE: TEMPERA, ACRYLIC, OIL
PAINTING: AL PRIMA, LAZURAMA
MOTIV: LIVE MODEL (NUDE, SEMINUDE).
The goal of painting teaching at the third undergraduate year is to
acquaint the color phenomenon (physiological characteristics of the
colors, the psychological traits of color, the balance of color in the
composition).
TECHNIQUE: TEMPERA, ACRYLIC, OIL
MOTIV: LIVE MODEL (HEAD, FIGURE, STILL LIFE, LANDSCAPE).
The goal of painting teaching in the fourth undergraduate year is to
help in creative development of students in the painting media. The
main emphasis is on the student's autonomy in his paintings through
the prism of his own experience of the inner and outer world in which
he is. Enable him to develop unhindered and perfected to the ultimate
possibilities, and free use of acquired knowledge and skills in the
media of painting.
TECHNIQUE: ACRYLIC, OIL, COMBINED TECHNICS.
MOTIV: FIGURE, NUDE, INTERIOR, EXTERIOR (LANDSCAPE).
The goal of the fifth year of graduation is to give the student full
freedom in the realization of his diploma work, both physically and in
a spiritual sense, in accordance with his or her abilities. After four
years of study, and through the unity of the theory and practice he
has acquired, the student graduate is open to further experimental
research seeking his own values and peculiarities of his artistic
expression through the media of painting and thus into the world's art
movements today.
